Over Quarantine or March 14th to be more specific I planted a Lima bean. Now when I planted the Lima bean I didn’t plant it in dirt, I planted it in a Ziploc bag. I wrapped the Lima bean lightly and left room for air and placed it in the Ziploc bag, but I left the bag open. Now that you have your Lima bean ready you need to tape the bag to a window. Everyday you will have to water the bean, but DO NOT water it too much or it will rot. The plant will take 5 weeks to grow but it will take longer for the plants to harvest. When it’s time to harvest there will be little Lima beans packets. Below there is a picture of my Lima bean at 5 weeks so far.

Since it’s quarantine and we have to social distance my church group (NCkids) was so nice that they decided to take their time and hide 60 eggs in our yard 20 eggs for each of us. It was sooo fun. And since we have to be socially distant they only told my parents, so we didn’t see hr come in our yard. Then our Mom finally told us the surprise, it was SOOOOOOOOO fun!!!!!!! Since, there so many kids who go to the church they partnered into pairs of 2. I would love to give a HUGE shout out to the NCkids group leaders. Thanks NCkids so much.

Since we’re in quarantine I decided to host a contest online. The contest is a simple guessing game. I posted a picture of a jar with dice below. What you can do is you can guess how many dice are in the jar, and upload your answer as a comment. The person who guesses closest to the number or the number will be featured in their very own blog post on brayklees.page! You will have 6 days (3/30-4/5) to guess, the winner will be announced on April 5, 2020 (Sunday). Hope you guess right! BYE!!!!!!!!

Have you ever wanted to eat cookie dough but don’t want to get sick? Edible cookie dough is a big hit with the family or just as a snack, dessert. You can always make the edible cookie just for your self if you want. Then follow this recipe and you can make edible cookie dough in minutes!

Ingredients

• 1 cup (125 grams) all-purpose flour spooned & leveled
• 1/2 cup (115 grams) unsalted butter softened
• 1/2 cup (100 grams) packed brown sugar
• 3 tablespoons (40 grams) granulated sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• 1/4 -1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
• 1 and 1/2 tablespoons (23 ml) milk
• 2/3 cup (120 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

• Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the flour in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake at 350°F (177°C) for 5-8 minutes or until the flour reaches a temperature of 160°F (71°C). Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
• In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or in a large mixing bowl using a hand-held mixer, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until well combined. Mix in the vanilla extract and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. 
• Add the flour and continue mixing, the mixture will be a little crumbly at this point. Mix in the milk until fully combined, then taste and add more salt if desired. 
• Fold in the chocolate chips until well combined, then serve and enjoy or cover tightly and refrigerate. 

Since I’m on quarantine I decided to start doing exercise. Everyday me and my mom would go outside and do our everyday exercise routine. Everybody’s workout routine can be different but mine is 10 curl-ups, 10 lunges, 10 jumping jacks, 10 squats, and 5 wall sits for 30 seconds. If you don’t want to exercise you can do the 30-day water challenge. Basically, all you do is you is drink half your body weight in water, an average adult would drink 8 cups of water which is 64oz. The 30-day water challenge is just as much work as exercise but the exercise doesn’t really have a limit. I hope you stay healthy!

Since we are on quarantine my mom decided to decorate the house as a aquarium, because that was where I was supposed to go. The funny thing was that my field trip was on April 8th and my sisters field trip was on March 26th and mom got confused so we “went” to my field trip on JayceeRaes field trip day.
